What does it look like when a coffee moves you the way a song does? For me, it looks like this.

About seven months ago, my friend Kat asked if I’d ever considered a coffee release inspired by Evanescence. At first, I laughed—because let’s be real, no one wants a close-up of my face on a bag (see the band’s debut album for reference) 🤣. But the idea of exploring the band lingered, and I dove deep into the passion and emotion of their music.

That journey led me to two reflections:
• Women are the backbone of the coffee industry - producers, baristas, roasters, leaders.
• And my personal theme for this year: ☕ Coffee should move you like a great song stirs your soul.

Over the next 8 weeks, I poured that inspiration into this artwork, drawn on my iPad. It’s a visual expression of the passion of those who produce the coffees we love, the value of women in coffee, and the way a truly great cup makes you stop, breathe, and feel.

And the coffee behind the art?
Kenya Uteuzi Jimbo Nyeri AA 🇰🇪— Uteuzi Jimbo means “county select” in Swahili.
Not a micro-lot, but a gem in plain sight: 89 points, with passion fruit, pineapple, and cola notes.

Sometimes the most extraordinary experiences don’t come from the spotlight. Just like music—where an under-the-radar artist can leave you breathless—this coffee will stir your soul in ways you don’t expect.
